Love long weekends!

0

Incredible extended weekend, not a dull moment!

Friday (after work, the gym, and buying www.thecapsoffphotography.comwith Tanya) included the DeSales homecoming football game, with a tent filled with free food and drinks for Alumni! Ran into quite a few people I knew there, some I hadn’t seen in weeks, and others I hadn’t seen since graduation.  I got a few good photos with my phone.

After the game, which we unfortunately lost, I headed down to Cantina’s in the Arena District to meet up with some friends for Nikki’s birthday! I would say probably at least 20 people showed up for the event in an already overcrowded bar.  Some of the highlights include fun photos, playing Jenga with 2×4 boards, reconnecting with friends (including Jason, Carolina, Kelly, Spencer, Steve & Rachel) I hadn’t seen in a while… and of course there was loosing Kristen (who was celebrating her 21st birthday at midnight).

Saturday morning, I wanted to sleep in because I was up past 3:30am the night before.  When I checked my phone around 11am, I noticed a missed txt and a few missed calls from my brother… it said “We have an extra ticket for the OSU game today, let me know ASAP if you can come (received 9:30am)”.  Crap!! I sent him a message back immediately, before I was even coherently out of bed, and found out they had just given it to someone else.  No worries though, because I already had other plans.

Shortly after I got up, the doorbell rang and a package 3 foot tall was left on my door step with Evan’s name on it. His plans were to do some bottling of the homemade hard cider before going home to Mansfield for the weekend to celebrate his birthday weekend.  We sampled each kind of hard cider and since I hadn’t had breakfast yet, I started feeling it quicker than the last sampling.

I was running a bit late to meet up with Matt and Tanya at the Italian festival Saturday afternoon, and I ended up being a little late for the rest of the stuff I wanted to do Saturday, including the gym going to Dave’s for a cookout and having the first ever outdoor movie night at my house.

The Italian festival was fun! I had some AMAZING Italian food and drinks while I was there and played a bit with Mattie and Rachel. It was a bonus that they had a tent set up to watch the OSU game.  I felt a bit rushed, but got to see everything including some Ducati Motorcycles and saw the meatball that broke the North American record for the largest.  It took 46 hours to cook and weighed, I think, 655 pounds.

Next for Saturday evening was the First annual Wagner cookout, which the weather all day was perfectly planned.  It got up to 88 in the middle of the afternoon (a record setting day for Columbus on 10/9/10), and cooled off nicely for a bonfire and Smores at night. I LOVE Indian Summer Days! In addition to having great food, company, and seeing pics from Dave’s trip to Hydrabad, I got to play in the Jump-A-Saurus! They kids wouldn’t leave me alone after I started tossing and flipping them around in the designed-for-all-ages inflatable fort!

Made it home around 9 Saturday night to having the house to myself, and perfect weather to have people over for the outdoor movie night.  My neighbor Nate helped me mount the screen and Dustin brought over the Pandorum, which worked out perfectly for Halloween coming up around the corner.  Ever since Dustin and I saw Event Horizon in High School, I have enjoyed Space SciFi/horror flicks.  Having it outside and having a fire going added to the atmosphere. Plus we all enjoyed some of the home-brewed cider.

Honestly, I shouldn’t have stayed up so late Saturday night, because I had plans to drive down to Louisville with Matt for a business conference at 5 in the morning.  I think I only got 4 hours of sleep before waking up and the sun still not being up either (I am not a morning person).  The drive down was kind of ruff, but the conference was worth every minute! So many inspiring stories and people moving a head in their lives and businesses!  I got back just in time Sunday night to go to the gym and make some phone calls/emails before relaxing a bit.

Monday was Columbus day, so apparently only I had the day off. Even Mike, who works for the government, had to work (but to be fair, he gets the day after Thanksgiving off).  I spent the morning just cleaning up around the house before my my weekly appointment with Bill, which was pushed up to 1 in the afternoon because I had my day off.  It was cool to hear from him that my associate membership into the 3rd Armored Division of WWII Veterans is official, which we had been talking about since the Columbus, GA trip.

I had a date night Monday, which went well, but that was only the start of the evening.  I had some Dave and Busters cards that my friend Wes gave me a while back and wanted to see what was on them.  When I walked in, I ran into my personal trainer Rob, and a couple of girls he was hanging out with.  Unfortunately, there wsa nothing on the cards Wes gave me, while I was there and played a few games with the card I purchased about a year ago.  I started watching the Vikings verses Jets game, and it was just getting interesting when D&B closed at 11, so I went to a sports bar and made some friends there.

Ben’s 2nd Photoshoot this Friday

I love taking photos and capturing moments wherever I go. Thank goodness cellphone cameras are getting better and better all the time for those random moments that cannot be prepared for, although its never a good substitute for my DSLR.

I bought my Canon Rebel XS about 18 months ago when my neice Natalie and nephew Ben were about to be born and my second brother to be married, Steve, was about to have his wedding.

Before I get off on a tangent about how awesome it had been, I am getting ready to do Ben’s 1 year old photos this Friday. I can hardly believe a year has already passed. With Ben, the last pics I took were for Christmas when he was only a few months old.  Now it should hopefully be a lot easier to get some expression out of him, but I still need to figure out some fun poses with him plus mom and dad.

I love photography, and don’t mind doing it for free for my close friends while I’m still learning how to do it effectively.  I definitely owe some thanks to my friends who helped get me started on it, as I moved from just having ‘a cool toy’ to actually using some of the more advanced features that helped my pictures pop out a bit more.

Keep an eye out in the albums section, as the photos this Friday will be there shortly. And soon I will fill in the photography section with the portraits and landscapes I have taken.

Hopefully there will also be another photoshoot with Natalie soon, as her last photos were taken about a month after she was born.

Soon enough I will be doing photography professionally!

To your continued success

0

To your continued success is absolutely one of my favorite signoffs for email signatures and letters. It just feels like it makes the letter more personal and makes one feel good.

Now to practice what I preach. Everytime I read this phrase or one similar in an email, online, or elsewhere, I always think to myself “that was really nice I should really be doing that too”.  From now on, if you ever get see something I have written,  it is my intention that it will have those magical words at the end.

Thanks to everyone who I have heard this phrase from, as I feel more inspired because of it. Now its time to pass it along to hopefully inspire someone else.

To your continued success,
Justin

My old blog had so many issues that it finally crashed. I still have the database, but unfortunately it’s corrupted. Hopefully some of it can be salvaged over time.

Niche Blitzkrieg Review

Justin Reed’s Niche Blitzkrieg Review

The Niche Blitzkrieg System is, in my opinion, the #1 system to success in setting up online affiliate niche web sites. The best part of this system is that it works great for people, even if they have extremely limited time or knowledge of coding web sites. niche blitzkriegAlso, throughout his system Michael provides both video and screen shots that walk you through every step of the process. Most people are concerned about these systems having reoccurring hidden costs, the great part about the Niche Blitzkrieg System is that there are both paid and free options given at every step that are extremely effective even for people on a tight budget. Personally, I have used both methods within his system, and have landed in the top ten of Google for several of my sites, which have resulted in many sales. It is a really cool feeling to get an email while I’m sleeping that shows someone purchased a product through my site. The owners of the system have been very attentive and have answered any of my questions typically within a day on their forum. This system is constantly being updated and improved on. I was able to get a link that offers a special rate and a free trail period to test the system out.

See what the system is all about

Justin’s Thoughts on Affiliate Marketing Online

Something that anyone can do is affiliate marketing online because . If you are reading this, then you have the skills to get around the web, and you have the potential to make huge profits. There are a lot of work-at-home businesses out there these days and they are growing at an astronomical rate because of the low overhead and the ability to make virtually any income you want. Although the way income is generated is simple, this is not saying these types of businesses are easy, because they do require a desire to learn and succeed. I have been told 98% of success in anything is attitude and the remaining 2% is the mechanics of how it works. In a nutshell, if you have a good attitude and determination to succeed, you will and if not, then I would recommend looking for a second job to fill that extra basket. With affiliate marketing online, you can have virtually and unlimited amount of baskets to fill, and they are only limited by your creativity and desire. I have some recommended books on success, if you are wondering what it takes.

When I started playing around with these concepts, I had no idea how to do this on my own and the information on the web was overwhelming. As a result, I looked to several systems that were already put in place that walk you each step of the process to yield maximum results. Of the systems I have been involved in, there are two which I highly recommend due to the extremely low start up cost and the high level of personal coaching.

Groundhog Day Face-off! Puxatony Phil verses Staten Island Chuck

0

Ah, Groundhog's Day, possibly essentially the most ridiculous of all the non-gifting holidays. This year, even so, the annual celebration is slightly additional interesting than usual as two in the furry minor soothsayers are locked in a very stand-off for the ultimate seasonal prediction.

Punxsutawney Phil, middle with the biggest Groundhog's Time celebration in Punxsutwaney, Pennsylvania, saw his shadow, signaling six additional gloomy winter weeks. But Staten Island Chuck, New York's official groundhog meteorologist, begs to differ. Chuck, who has an 80 percent rate prosperous prediction charge since the 1980s, saw no shadow and expects an early spring.

Naturally, you'll find an abundance of other regional groundhogs in case you want a third opinion, which includes our favorite, Balzac Billy.

Windows 7 GodMode

0

Despite the fact that its name suggests perhaps even grander functionality, Windows enthusiasts are excited over the discovery of a hidden "GodMode" feature that lets users access all of the operating system's control panels from within a single folder.

By creating a brand new folder in Windows 7 and renaming it having a selected text string at the end, users are able to have a single area to do everything from changing the look of the mouse pointer to making a new hard-drive partition.

The trick can also be said to work in Windows Vista, even though some are warning that despite the fact that it works fine in 32-bit versions of Vista, it can cause 64-bit versions of that operating method to crash.

To enter "GodMode," one need only create a new folder and then rename the folder towards the following:

GodMode.ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C

When that's done, the folder's icon will alter to resemble a control panel and will include dozens of control selections. I'm not sure it's my idea of playing God, but it is a handy approach to get to all kinds of controls.

So far, Redmond is silent on the topic.
